The Single Acting Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator is a single-acting pneumatic actuator for automatic control of 90° angle travel valves. It is widely used in the opening and closing control of ball valves, butterfly valves, and plug valves.
Compressed air enters the cylinder, pushes the piston to make linear motion, and the piston uses the piston pin and the fork U-groove design to convert the linear motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the fork, and the fork rotation drives the output shaft to rotate, to realize the control of the valve.
Safety reset capability
In the event of sudden gas failure, the Single Acting Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator automatically resets by relying on the built-in high-strength spring group to ensure the safe closure of the valve. Its reset torque can reach 100,000Nm, which is particularly critical in systems with high safety levels such as petrochemicals and power.
High structural strength
The center body and cylinder of the Single Acting Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator are made of ductile iron and high-strength steel with a tensile strength of 420–600 MPa. It has excellent structural stability and is suitable for extreme working conditions such as high pressure and frequent operation.
High compatibility
The bottom connection of the Single Acting Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Actuator complies with the ISO 5211 standard, and the top interface is compatible with the NAMUR accessory specification. It can quickly connect to control devices such as solenoid valves, limit switches, and positioners to improve system integration efficiency.
High energy efficiency
Since the pneumatic actuator is a single-acting design, it consumes compressed air only in one direction, and the return stroke is completed by the spring. Compared with double-acting actuators, it can save about 30% of air source consumption, which can significantly reduce operating costs in large-scale deployments.
